Random exchange from today

Today at work I overheard this random exchange between father and son. It made me chuckle…

Father: You guys are spending all of your money. Are you sure this is what you want?

Young son: We’re spending all of our moolah?

Father: We’re spending all of your money and my last 15 dollars.

Young son: We’re spending all of our moolah!

Father: You guys are overspending your tax write-off…

I was cracking up over that one!

Love Gets Bogged Down

Love gets bogged own in expectations.  What a wonder it is so think someone is so fantastic just because of who they are and not because of what that give/mean to you.  That is such a marvel!  Real love, in my book.

My dad is one person who I love like this.  He’s just so wonderful.  So wise. I can’t even describe him.  I want to be just like him.

I think I usually fail to love China Man, like I described.  I always seem to want something from him… I want him to want me.  That’s my failure in this relationship.

Sometimes though, like today… I’m reminded that he is just fantastic.  He’s interesting, engaging, funny, etc.  He doesn’t have to love me, or even want me.  I just think he’s fantastic.  I’m so happy he exists!  What remarkable flavor he adds to the concoction of the world!  Wonderful… he’s just wonderful.

In regard to me moving to China… don’t worry… I’m finally – for once – not considering it.  I thought about it though.  It’s nothing here that’s keeping me, I’m not terribly fond of my job at this point, nor my apartment, nor my social life.  It’s all fine, just not enough to keep me here.  What keeps me from going to China is our (China Man and my) relationship.

He’s just still not sure he wants me.  Sometimes he does, but then he wants me right then.  When the desire passes, he’s fine… back to not sure if he wants me.  Maybe I’m wrong, but that’s how it feels.  It’s okay with me, I just can’t move there for him when he’s still undecided.  No matter how much more attractive that life looks to me, than the one I’m currently living.

I’ll tell him all this, if we ever talk about it.  I think he knows he’s still not sure he wants me though and will put off the conversation.  I’m okay with that though too…  I think I have peace.

Christmas

Christmas is just about over for another year, just the big family party this evening, and so I thought I should reflect on what has happened since last year.

Good things,

General makeing good on house has been really rewarding

New bathroom, involving nice new tools ;)

Allotment

Bad things

NO pay rise!

Fairly depressing work year

Generally I think I have to count myself lucky that I still have a job but I can’t say its been rewarding. However at home we have improved our house garden massively.

Let's get serious.

Something has hit me like a ton of bricks on the back of the head during a snowstorm.  I’ve realized (in a way I always knew) that something about my life will never be the same.

I’ll never be able to learn, practice or create choreography in my own home. That’s because Charlie thinks I’m dancing with him.  And why wouldn’t he, he’s damn handsome.  But this is an intrusion, not play time. When I dance, I mean it.  I can’t have him getting in the way of a shoulder shimmy-head dip.

Tonight, I knocked the shit out of his head and mine.  I can’t imagine what would have happened if I had seriously hurt him.  Can you imagine, on the phone with a vet, “I was learning ‘Single Ladies’ when I head butted my dog during the upswing of a head flip. He seems upset.”

Can you believe I’ve gone all of 2009 without learning Beyonce’s ”Single Ladies” choreography?  I can’t.  I hate myself for not knowing.  This leaves me one option.  Give Charlie some Bennys (that’s hip for Benadryl) and lock him in the bedroom and learn those fucking moves. I’m going to have to send Mr. D out for some more DMD’s (that’s hip for Diet Mountain Dews, all the cool kids are drinking them).

—real quick
I love this time of year for all the “Best of 2009″ shows.  I watched LOGO’s NewNowNext Pop Lab: Best of 2009, hosted by Mika.  It’s just awesome pop videos from 2009 and it will save your life. For realz. Here Watch it at LOGO’s site.
http://www.logoonline.com/video/misc/462250/mika-hosts-newnownext-poplabs-best-of-2009.jhtml?id=1627672.

This leads me to another pasture of thought.  My new obsession with Mika.  I like him with his first album.  But with the new release, he’s making the rounds and frankly Dan Savage has some competition for this fag hag fantasy.  Actually I think I can handle them both. In fact, it’s better this way. We won’t get tired of each other so quickly. Goddamnit!  Mika is so cute and brilliant.  I have new respect for pop music.  He makes it hip and fresh and cool.

Mele Kalikimaka Everyone!

Liangcai and I aren’t very big on Christmas, and while it’s a nice time for people to gather around for a good time of fellowship, or crazy partying, both of us somehow see it as ‘just another day’. Nonetheless it was a good time of being around each other’s families!

Hope everyone’s having an awesome Christmas, wherever you are, whatever you’re doing!

Front Mission 3.Rural Village.ePSXe.Fix.

Best Front Mission game so far

So I’ve been replaying games I really loved when the PSX was out. My old PSX lost it’s function already so I opted for an emulator. I can’t post links to an emulator but it’s called the ePSXe. Just google it.

Anyway, one of my favorite PSX games of all time would have to be Front Mission 3. It’s this cool RPG-Mecha-Turn based-Strategy game which I thought was very advanced at the time of it’s conception and release.

I was playing the game on my emulator when the game suddenly CRASHED when the mission for the Rural Village was next. This was in Emma’s story mode right after Yingko. I found out that almost the entirety of the people who were replaying the game also had the same problem, if not more. As I tried to search for ways to fix this little bug, I googled myself a few possible solutions.

1. Update the plugins of the emulator

2. Change the emulator

3. Fix the emulator

4. Look for my original copy of the game

5. Download a “cleaner” version

I’m pleased to say that I did all of the steps above with the last step taking too much of my time and almost had me give up on the game. Why you ask? I got at least 3 “other” copies of the game. Two of which are from a torrent site. One of them was said to work perfectly for the PSP (They were PSX-PSP versions, all I had to do was extract the ISO and it was playable via ePSXe) but when I finally played it, it was still bugged. The other one sucked at seeds that it took me almost 7 hours to have it at 60%. Mind you, the download was only 300+ MB large; you can just imagine my frustration so I eventually had to let it go.

It wasn’t until I saw this site for roms via google in which I saw this particular thread (Yes. I googled hard for this) in which it pointed me to the perfect copy of the game, with the bug that annoyed the hell out of me fixed, rather, made it nonexistent.

I owe my thanks to those guys. In case you’re wondering, I downloaded Aguia’s version. Works well so far. Too bad my characters are already too strong for the current missions. Why? I’ve been practicing and mastering their skills in simulator mode while I let the time pass for my downloads to finish. And yes, I went uber because of the Fukushima stage in TEST mode.

Six Day Weekend

as off to a grand start last night. I secured a copy of Something Something Dark Side, the latest Family Guy Star Wars parody. I thought we’d see it on tv first like last year’s but no, as the producers opted for the quick buck and the ability to curse. For every real inspired bit, we got an f-bomb. I don’t really care that much about that stuff, being a fan of George Carlin and the occasional dropper of same, but the writers were taking the easy way out and it came out like a 12 year old learning to cuss for the first time. Ah, well, can’t all be winners I guess.

Bring on the yule, I got presents for my kids mostly squared away (and wrapped even), did the laundry, and even baked. Yeah it was a frozen pie, but none of that supermarket frozen food section stuff, this was the real buckaroo from the lovely folks from Becker Farms, courtesy of one of my incredibly fabulous coworkers. Knowing there was a body doing the actual assemblage instead of a machine gave the apartment just the right scent.

After mostly beating back one of the worst colds in recent memory, I don’t know if I can handle the full on 3-D of “Avatar,” but I think number one son and I might be joined by his grandpa, three generations of sci-fi- geeks. Should be a hoot. That is how you mark Boxing Day.

According to the email from the Itunes store, the Who have a new greatest hits collection out. Shouldn’t there be a moratorium on that? When the anthologies outnumber the original releases, ya’ know.

It’s the second christmas since my Dad-in-law passes and my mom-in-law asked if I would do the carving honors on Friday — that was his big thing. Felt myself gulp a little while she was asking. It reminded me a bit of the scene from the West Wing when the President was explaining why he was sending his assistant to carving knife stores.

Fearless employer gave out grocery store gift cards this week and I had a grand time cruising the isles getting name brand stuff. There is something decidely liberating about that.

Caught Elvis Costello’s talk show Spectacle on the CTV last week. He and the Imposters had Bono and the Edge on, the performances were a lot of fun.

Finally have something resembling my own speaking voice back after dealing with a really bad cold that as it morphed gave me a pretty good jazz dj voice.

Today was day one of a six day weekend. And the best is that everybody will be kind of quiet next week. And it will be a three day week. How cool is that>

Happy Holidays

Sick & RO

I have started out my winter break by getting sick.  I went to bed, but tossed and turned and only fell asleep maybe around 4 am, and woke up around 6:30 a.m.  Then I couldn’t sleep again. So I decided to update this thing.

I might not update this thing too much this winter break, but maybe I will. Chances are it will mostly be RO related.

The parents did flip a table over losing the cellphone though. Especially the mother..who I find to be a hypocrite because she loses things a lot more than I do.  I didn’t mention this before, but she currently lost her purse so she’s been pretty crazy and worrying about someone using her things via identity theft.

So basically there has been much family drama already, and it’s gotten pretty ‘hardcore’.

In other news, I started playing RO again…since Saturday night. All I have to say is damn there’s a lot of drama lama now. Seriously guys? It’s a game you’re not getting paid to play.  I think the only time you really should QQ and take a game seriously is if you’re a professional gamer or someone who enters tourneys & plays games to get PAID. So calm down guys. Calm down. Enjoy yourselves because that’s what games are for.

I kind of… got lazy during finals and played RO for maybe an hour with Kev because there was a drop event earlier in the week. No cards…

but got levels!

Also made a new headgear. I collected maneater blossoms when I used to level at Geos so they went to use in the end.

On sunday we decided to do some leveling. Kev wanted a new champ, so he made a new monk named Rilakkuma! ha. Cute.

Kev and I share my alt account, so though it’s kind of mine.. it’s also his.  So I asked what character I should level and he said my 2nd scholar (she’s still a sage). So we alternated every “Wayne” till they reached 90.

We got a Pasana!

After 2 days, we got Kev’s monk to 90! xcore man xcore (not really).  We would have 99′d him via my High Wizard if I wasn’t sick.

The sage started at 69 since I made her last exp event. We got her to 90 too, so goal met for the few days we had to play.

Kev was opening up Lucky boxes/poring boxes.. and I looked in my paypal account and had $6 in there.. so decided to use it since I wouldn’t use it for anything else. I got 2 boxes out of it and got a party hard pack & snow man hat. I’m content. I would like a shark hat though XD it’s cute.

Kev got a kafra band! haha. My peco be eating it nom nom nom.

After we went to break some bloody branches with Dray. Originally it was just Kev, Dray and myself but we got a Valk Rangdris and had to get a second HP to help, so Death came.  Then Paen got online, and Dray asked if she had any BBs, and so we broke hers too.

It got kind of busy, so I had to bring my third HP (on alt acct) to heal myself instead of using pots.

Paen and Kev both got Valks. Kev got a full drop though – everything but a card that is.

These were my drops from my bbs I broke. I am glad to get a second Bloody Axe because they are nice for the agi walking when walking – so it’ll go to my alt account merchant.

It looks like were holding hands.

Anyways, while I have been gone UTM’s alliance joined forces with EA’s alliance.. and this is why there is so much guild drama now. Not drama within our alliances.. but more so like the outside guilds. not in the alliances.  So WoE is apparently more hardcore now.  It’ll be my first time being in a very busy alliance.

Before break ends I kind of want to.. get my non trans’ & tran’s to 9x. Although I would like to finally 99 my gypsy since shes so close to 99. We shall see.

Kev wants to trans his second priest & his second monk.. & possibly 99 them. We’ll see about that too :o .

Humbug ; an Emo pre-X-Mas post

Where is that feeling? That christmas feeling that made me sick with anticipation and drunk with wonder as a child. Where is that feeling?

I think the problem is I get the feeling that we are not celebrating anything at all. All the Christian folk are thoroughly confused by the holiday, acting like shopaholic pagans and the pagans seem to have forgotten their gods and goddesses entirely, acting like accomplices to the commercial Christians.

Guys like me, broke and agnostic, have more than a few head scratching moments this time of year. When you see that look on our face it’s because we don’t know what we are celebrating.

We used to light up our windows with candles so the homeless and hungry would know that warmth and food were found within. We used to have a harvest and no guarantee against the winter. There used to be meaning to our winters merry making; celebration in the face of a dying world, a prayer for life next Spring. There used to be magic and so many other things that have all but dried up. Now we have movie magic and mickey mouse.

I don’t feel connected to any of this. Does it feel phony to anybody else?

We put up the tree. It looks nice. Bridget made Douglas Fir Sorbet, I’m not kidding.

And now for something completely different...Typos in a book!

Good evening gentle reader,

For those of you familiar with my blog and those of you who aren’t, I am a freelance copywriter who has until recently highlighted errors in news articles. No periodical has been safe, The Huffington Post, The BBC, Fox News, MSNBC and even AOL News. I’ve critiqued their typographical errors, clarity and consistency. That’s been fun and the pictures are usually pretty, but I would like to add another facet to my blog: typos in books. In addition to being a copywriter, I am also a trained proofreader and avid reader. Do you see where this is going?

My trained eye picks out errors whether I want to or not and I must must perform the appropriate proofreading markage and make a note to myself at the top of the page. I said it was a gift in my last post. I might have exaggerated a bit and perhaps “curse” is a better word to use.

The first installment will begin tomorrow! Muhahaha! Now I’ve got you hooked! Which book will it be? The blameless author? Which publisher was careless enough to let these bedeviled blemishes make it to print?!

Find out all that and more tomorrow on A. James Editing!

Collaborating ... Without Labs Or Rats

Being a co-songwriter is like being a copilot: I could do it by myself … but I don’t know how to play the guitar or fly a plane.

note: I’ve been busy hanging out with Mr. Pettit … more than usual … as he prepares for a 5th trip to a recording studio. He’s left for Australia, so I’m back to being a coagulator again.

double note: it’s been like a bad Christmas recently … a serious lack of presence.

.

notes to myself #85

They stop making Herbie The Love Bug movies … at least the really good ones.

Tips to consider for the Holidays!

Whisky hangover ‘worse than vodka’, study suggests

Drinking whisky will result in a worse hangover than vodka, according to research by US scientists.

The reason might lie in the number of molecules called “congeners” which it contains compared to vodka, the Brown University team said.

But the study also suggested that sticking to vodka all night rather than whisky would not improve your performance at work the next day.

The study is published in Alcoholism: Clinical and Experimental Research.

The 95 volunteers for the research, all healthy alcohol users, had one night of “acclimatisation” before drinking either whisky or vodka the following night.

They were given enough alcohol to put them a third over the legal driving limit for the UK.

On the third night they were given a “placebo” drink containing no alcohol.

On each occasion, they were then asked how they felt the following day, and were tested on how well they could concentrate on tasks.

The volunteers who drank whisky reported far more hangover symptoms such as headache nausea, thirst and fatigue compared with those who drank vodka.

However, the overall performance at the concentration task was roughly the same between the two groups.

Professor Damaris Rohsenow, who led the research at Brown University in Rhode Island, said: “While people felt worse, they didn’t perform worse after bourbon (a type of whisky made in the US) than after vodka.”

He said that the study also showed that workers in “safety-sensitive” roles could be impaired by drinking – long after the alcohol itself had disappeared from the bloodstream.

Avatar and McDonald's an Interesting Pair

This has nothing to do with comic books but I thought it was too funny not to comment on.  The new James Cameron sci-fi epic Avatar at it’s core is a movie raging against corporations who rape mother nature for a profit without care to damage to the environment or indigenous people.  It’s a very pro-environment movie, advocating in protecting the forests and living in harmony with the nature that surrounds us.

In something that shouldn’t be a shock McDonalds’s has teamed up to promote the movie through Happy Meals and advertisements in hopes to draw more people to their restaurants.  But isn’t this pairing a little odd?

McDonald’s may or may not be the best on environmental issues.  Though they promote themselves as an environmentally conscious, organizations like McSpotlight raise issues with the corporation’s practice of destroying rain forests to make way for farms.  Much like the military depicted in the movie, both are destroying trees and forests for their corporate masters and stockholders.

There’s also the issue of  the massive amounts of waste generated from their packaging every year.  I’m sure the plastic of the Avatar action figures in the Happy Meal are environmentally friendly too.

McDonald’s has definitely tried to change their once wicked ways (much like the corporation in the movie once they see the error of their way).  Greenpeace praised McDonald’s agreement to stop selling chicken fed on soya grown in newly deforested areas of the Amazon rainforest.  But that was after Greenpeace also called them out on the practice.

As recent as November 2009 people were calling on McDonald’s and other restaurants to cease purchasing beef raised on grounds that used to be the rain forest.  Every one quarter pound of beef is equivalent to 25 square feet of some of the most precious land on Earth.  Destroyed to raise the cattle for the beef.

The pairing is humorous and the above is something to chew on.

On Avatar, sleepless nights & parking lots

I just saw Avatar (I live in Mexico City, films are waaay late). I loved it, every single moment of it. I was riveted, my eyes fixed in a single position inside my cranium, taking it all in. I truly expected it to be all hype & no substance. I don’t even like Cameron’s films, but I have to say, this is his masterpiece. Fuck Titanic, fuck Alien, royally fuck Terminator, give us more of this!

On a tangent, I usually don’t want to sleep after watching a great film this late. I get an empty feeling in my chest & a sudden urge to watch the sunrise. I’ve tried, unsuccessfully, to stay awake long enough for that, but my body gets the best of me. So, logically, new goal: stay awake long enough to watch the sunrise, preferably in the company of a significant other.

On a random offset angle, I had never ever been on a parking lot with the lights off. They’re beautiful places, really. Great for night photography, or just staring at the usual, now unusual. Another goal: do a photoshoot on an empty parking lot, from sunset to sunrise (possible mix with above goal?).

Iron Man 2 Trailer

The first trailer for Iron Man 2 has hit the Apple website and it is pure awesome.  They seriously need to bottle this up and sell it, as eau de awesome.  Iron Man 2From the trailer we see we get some War Machine action, the return of Samuel L. Jackson (the the baddest motherf*#&%er out there), and Scarlett Johansson looking hot as the Black Widow (I’m putting money down she gets a teaser poster).

It’s just hot, pure excitement, I can’t wait.  Check out the trailer at http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/ironman/

Synopsis:

Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment present the highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster film based on the legendary Marvel Super Hero “Iron Man”, reuniting director Jon Favreau and Oscar nominee Robert Downey Jr. In “Iron Man 2″, the world is aware that billionaire inventor Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is the armored Super Hero Iron Man. Under pressure from the government, the press and the public to share his technology with the military, Tony is unwilling to divulge the secrets behind the Iron Man armor because he fears the information will slip into the wrong hands. With Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), and James “Rhodey” Rhodes (Don Cheadle) at his side, Tony forges new alliances and confronts powerful new forces.

Changing Universe – Part II

We live in a universe that is always changing – yet we have to make decisions, have to choose paths, and yet we can’t see the future. We have to settle on making decisions based on the available information.

But we are always getting new information.

I once worked in a job where this was often the case. We would work for months on a project – get new information – and find ourselves back at the beginning of the process. Scraping some or all of the work that we’d completed and starting over. There was no fault, no blame, just new information or a new way of looking at the data.

It was a stressful environment to work in.

I remember hiring for positions on my team and asking the question of what they would feel like if they had to start over again on a project they had just spent three months on – not because they failed but because they were presented with new information. If they twitched or jumped they were off the list. If they were too caviler they were off the list. The response I was looking for was something in between.

It is hard to change – to adapt to situations – to admit that the decision you made at the time was right but now that you have new information, it is wrong. So I always try to fail faster.

There is a point here – I just haven’t gotten to it yet.

I got drawn into yet another discussion about interrogation tactics and the US’s treatment of prisoners of war. The topic always leaves me a little queasy. Not because of the content, not because of what was done, but because we are looking for scapegoats. And because no one seems to be talking about what brought us here.

As I said in my posting last week we did this to ourselves. We wanted answers so badly that we were willing to give up our liberty and privacy – allow tapping of phone lines, the delay of notice of warrants etc (I’ve been reading the Patriot Act – full text here). This was just the beginning of the slippery slope. We slid – our government authorizing more and more powers to the agencies and military tasked with the job of finding terrorist and protecting us.

Thank goodness we didn’t slide so far that we rounded up all Muslims and American’s of Middle Eastern descent and put them into camps – at least we learned that lesson.

The rules have changed.

New information has been brought to light. The administration has changed. Why punish those who did what we asked. The harder thing would be to look at how we got here, understand it, and place safeguards so that we don’t do it again.

So back to my insane job.

We would work on a project thinking we knew what we were doing. As we progressed we would start to have questions. Answering those questions brought new information to light that caused us to change how we did the project. Trust me – we felt angry and foolish at times – occasionally downright stupid. But we moved forward and let the past go.

Sometimes you simply need to move on.

Myself and Kaili taught Ah Joo how to skate.. which leads us to realise latter that we are pretty much screwed with skates too.. meet seowyan on the same day too!
Went astaka alone yesterday, saw CK.. jog with him one round.. felt like dying.. ate too much previously..
Then coincidentally say LeePing after that round.. Shared a rainbow moment with her.. it was about to rain so we manage to see a clear rainbow.. admiring the rainbow with a friend was magnificent ~

Going out now~……

Gosh, Holidays are good!

Wild woman rule: #1

I’m bored with rules from self-proclaimed experts.  I’d rather hear refreshing stories from wild women that chuck instructions in the recycling bin: the type of women that read two paragraphs of “How To …” magazine articles and decide they’d rather head to the rock climbing gym than finish the article.  I admire that crowd.

Writing her own rules: Caitlin Kelley

In response to an excerpt from The Rules by Ellen Fein and Sherrie Schneider, Caitlin Kelley wrote her own rule for meeting new friends and finding romance:

“Play social sports. Play to the best of your ability, and don’t be afraid to get sweaty & dirty. Don’t bother changing back into regular clothes when going to the bar afterwards. Dominate the flip cup or beer pong table, and you can show your feminine side by dancing when Rhianna or Lady Gaga plays from the jukebox.”

Next time you read or hear a rule you abhor, write your own.  Send it to me (TheMathematicsofGlamour@hotmail.com), and I’ll post.

chanel.

Men drömma får man!

tis the season

I took a trip to our Vet yesterday. The man was off of work and the cat needed food. She’s on a special diet for her kidneys. I made some coffee, put it in a to-go mug, cranked up the Christmas tunes and enjoyed the 30 minute drive to the clinic.

I know all the people there since my husband’s uncle is an equestrian doc for them. They let a select few animals hang out in the lobby and one of them is some sort of exotic bird that is very interactive named Tiki. He’s awesome.

When I went to pay the $40 for the 10lb bag of catfood they told me we had $150 credit on our account. Turns out, the uncle put that on there with a message: “Congrats and Merry Christmas”.

SCORE!

Coyote v. Car (The Only Good Coyote is a Dead....Well Now Wait One Minute...or 8 Hours)

“Meet the wiliest of all coyotes: Hit by a car at 75mph, embedded in the fender, road for 600 miles – and SURVIVED!
When a brother and sister struck a coyote at 75mph they assumed they had killed the animal and drove on.
They didn’t realize this was the toughest creature ever to survive a hit-and-run.
Eight hours, two fuel stops, and 600 miles later they found the wild animal embedded in their front fender – and very much alive.

Daniel and Tevyn East were driving at night along Interstate 80 near the Nevada-Utah border when they noticed a pack of coyotes near the roadside on October 12. When one of the animals ran in front of the car, the impact sounded fatal so the siblings thought there no point in stopping. ‘Right off the bat, we knew it was bad,’ Daniel explained. ‘We thought the story was over.’ “

COYOTE V. CAR (Photo’s)

No, I am not touchy feely about varmints, but I do have to give this one the animal survival award for this year. And, for those that are quick to remark on your favorite varmint round at 100 yards…mines a a versatile .223, short to long range. But hey, this is pretty impressive.

Ella Montclare (Be In The Know)

UK songstress Ella Montclare came through for lunch today to Venice for lunch at my favorite Italian Spot.  Had a good time  chopping it up about her forthcoming album.   Tomorrow she leaves to San Francisco to work with Dan The Automator.   I loved how I got squeezed in between Dan and Russell Simmons who she met with yesterday! Really?   We talked about London, LA, food and marketing strategy’s for what looks to be  a great album.

She is a positive vocalist getting her feet with both the artistic and business side of this industry but with so much energy.  Ill be sure to support her music on KCRW so make sure to check her out at her myspace page.  Also her video looks incredible.  Be on the look out for her work as well as her collabo’s with Dan The Automater in 2010!

Ps.. Biggup C & O! Best Garlic rolls in the world! Trust!

Peep her short clip.

do people still eat eggo waffles?

Now, here is a serious tragedy.  Kellogg has reported that there will be a shortage of Eggo waffles until next summer.   Two of the four plants that mass-produce the waffles are shut down for the time-being.  The largest “bakery” in Rossville, Tennessee  is closed indefinitely for repairs and the other in Atlanta was shut down because of an unprecedented amount of rain from a September storm.

If all else fails, we could all cut holes in cardboard and throw them in the toaster.   I bet we couldn’t tell the difference.

Afro-cuban!

Trying to post the damn videos on Youtube. Freaking slow! It’s for someone else though.

It’s like becoming a global spread of narcissism. YOU!tube…but I must say it’s a fountain of knowledge as I learn a lot of things from people all over the world. It’s amazing watching it grow. Like the first few times I use it, there’s not really much stuff going on but as the months past, I know that it’s going to be something huge. Then, the news reported it and more people checked it out.

Today I learn Nanigo and it’s so fun! Mr Ant just make any groove sounds good. Dude!

Que Sera Sera...

Que Sera Sera- lyrics as performed by Doris Day

When I was just a little girl
I asked my mother
What will I be?
Will I be pretty?
Will I be rich?
Here’s what she said to me:

Que sera, sera.
Whatever will be, will be.
The future’s not ours to see.
Que sera, sera.
What will be, will be.

When I grew up and fell in love
I asked my sweetheart
What lies ahead?
Will we have rainbows
Day after day?
Here’s what my sweetheart said:

Que sera, sera.
Whatever will be, will be.
The future’s not ours to see.
Que sera, sera.
What will be, will be.

Now I have children of my own.
They ask their mother,
What will I be?
Will I be handsome?
Will I be rich?
I tell them tenderly:

Que sera, sera.
Whatever will be, will be.
The future’s not ours to see.
Que sera, sera.
What will be, will be.
Que sera, sera

Sometimes when I start feeling bad about my mental handicap of being indecisive, I try to think about this song. As silly as that may be. And I guess I am silly. But I don’t care. People seem to love me anyway. :)
